Senior Technical Product Manager

An Audacious Mission

Today, coordinating business travel is complex because of competing interests, opaque industry practices, convoluted systems, and bad software.

But we believe that travel is a force-multiplier for growth.

Travel connects teams to new and existing co-workers, partners, and customers. It enables new opportunities, produces unexpected collaboration, and shifts perspectives. That’s why we focus daily on making travel more about why you’re going and less about how you’ll get there.

Our mission is to make in-person collaboration effortless.

The Role

We have an opportunity for a seasoned technical product manager who wants to have a big impact on a quickly-scaling business in the travel space.

As a technical product manager, you’ll be responsible for helping build the infrastructure and systems which support booking travel for hundreds of thousands of customers. You’ll be tasked with understanding the complexity of how the underlying systems that power the travel industry function, and you’ll partner with engineering to develop new products which harness these systems to deliver value to our customers.

You will be given the freedom and responsibility to make key product decisions that affect outcomes for hundreds of global companies. We have a strong focus on building high-quality and well-engineered products (our CEO was a former engineer!), and you will have the opportunity to influence how we maintain this focus during an aggressive growth period.

This is a truly unique opportunity for someone to embark on a career-transforming journey. As such, it is going to require a truly unique individual to do it well; we suggest you read this blog post and ensure you’re a “whole-body” YES to everything in it before applying.

In return, we provide full benefits, unlimited vacation time, a competitive salary, stock options, and a chance to change the face of travel.

What We Value

You love travel.

Any chance you get you’ll jump at the opportunity to venture outside of your local bubble. When you hear LAX, LGA or MIA you picture the destinations that these airports unlock.

You communicate clearly.

You enjoy speaking about travel, food and life. When writing you are both eloquent and informative. In person, you are articulate about your perspective, feelings, and opinions.

You are empathetic and helpful.

You voluntarily step up when others are struggling, even if the problem is not in your area of expertise. “Patience” is your middle name. You are happy when you have made others succeed.

You are detail oriented.

You are a stickler for minor grammatical errors—seeing comma splice errors in print makes you cringe, and you are never satisfied with a first draft.

You love learning.

You can use Google to learn anything and everything except for rocket science and brain surgery. You don’t need to be an official “travel agent,” nor do you have to have past experience working in the travel industry, but you are curious and willing to learn.

We would love to speak with you. Along with your resume or portfolio, please tell us why you are interested in Pana and why you will be a powerful ally in accomplishing our mission.
